Gold Prize Winners at the Weetabix Awards!

We were delighted to win Gold for ‘Farming and the Environment’ Weetabix Awards at the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards!

We were so thrilled to win the award which celebrates the great work of farmers in the Weetabix Growers Group, farming in the most sustainable way whilst supporting environmental initiatives.

The Farming Environment award was sponsored by Weetabix.  Weetabix buys all its wheat from within a 50-mile radius of its factory in Burton Latimer and their farmers take demonstrable action to reduce the environmental impact of growing wheat through carbon footprint education, promoted wildlife and regenerative agriculture.  They were very excited for the Northants food and drink awards to be the Weetabix Awards

The judges were most impressed with Phil’s heartfelt enthusiasm for birds and wildlife, and how this enthusiasm has passed down the generations.  The way the farm is entrenched in the community and educates the public was also a great contribution to the win!  Read more about the great work we do on our nature friendly farm

We had a wonderful evening at the awards ceremony held at the Royal & Derngate theatre.  The awards celebrated businesses producing some amazing products, and championed organisations supporting their local communities.  We had a great time celebrating with all the winners, and congratulations to everyone who entered the awards!
