With all this sunshine we are bringing the harvest home

Harvest is well underway at the farm, with all our wheat now cut and in the store, and the straw baled and stacked ready for the winter. Our wheat is combined by Bob, then carted by Connie (pictured cooling off with a iced lolly!) from the field back to the farm. It’s then quality checked and taken by Vickie to add to our nutritious bird seed mixes, that’s field to feeder in under three miles!
Next we will combine our barley and beans, this sunshine and heatwave means we can really crack on and bring the harvest home!
What doesn’t go into our bird seed mixes heads to Weetabix, which means all the wheat from our farm only travels a maximum distance of 15miles !! Look out for us on the box promoting our nature friendly farming!
