Big School Bird Count

This month we see the return of the RSPB’s big school bird count which we support with great gusto!  This is a fantastic initiative to get school children involved in bird watching and nature.

As usual we provided local schools and playgroups with free seed to encourage them to take part in the activity, which the children and teachers all loved!  If you are a teacher at a school and would like a donation, please do drop us an email and get involved.

This week the key worker children at our local primary school put a new feeder up in their wildlife area.  The children keep it filled with sunflower hearts and love watching the range of birds who flock to it!
